St. Paul to host Women’s Day Prayer Brunch June 25

St. Paul A.M.E. Church schedule

HARRINGTON — St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, located at 103 Mispillion St. in Harrington, announces its schedule with Reverend Maxine L. Johnson, Pastor.

Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. and traditional worship service starting at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome.

Bible Study is held every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Holy Communion is observed the first Sunday of each month.

St. Paul Pre-Women’s Day Prayer Brunch will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25 at Delaware Early Childhood Center, 103 Mispillion St., Harrington. Tickets: $10 adults, $5 kids. For tickets contact any St. Paul’s member.

St. Paul’s Annual Women’s Day will be held June 25 at the church.

Christ Episcopal Church summer schedule

MILFORD — Christ Episcopal Church announces its summer schedule.

Sunday Holy Eucharist will be held at 9 a.m. only. Healing will follow service. Nursery is available. Everyone is welcomed to attend.

Sunday school will resume in September.

AA: Sunday 7 p.m. Baker Hall.

NA H&I:  6 p.m. – third Saturday of each month at Baker Hall.

MILFORD — The Redeemed Christian Church of God presents “Cherish” from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at 1111 N. DuPont Blvd. in Milford.

Houston UMC schedule

HOUSTON — Traditional worship will continue throughout the summer at Houston United Methodist Church, 235 Broad St., Houston each Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. under the direction of Rev. Helen McFadden. Special music in June will include Janice Winkler on June 19.

The Ad Council meeting has been moved to Tuesday, June 21 at 7 p.m.

The Annual Yard and Bake Sale will be held Saturday, June 18 beginning at 7 a.m.  There will be numerous household items for sale.  There will be no clothing or large furniture.  If you would like to donate an item to the yard sale and/or need it picked up, contact Leah Wheeler, 398-8007.  The men will be selling scrapple, sausage, and hot dog sandwiches outside.  Baked goods and chicken salad will be sold inside.  To pre-order chicken salad, please call Virginia Shultie, 398-3167 or Nancy Bennett, 422-9190.

Grotto’s Community Night will be held on Monday, June 20 from 4-9 p.m. at the Milford location.  When you present a Grotto’s voucher, they will donate 20 percent of the total sale back to Houston UMC.  Please come and invite others to support this fundraiser.   Vouchers are available at church on the fellowship room table or can be obtained from Barbara Johnson.

The UMWomen will not meet again until September.

The Trustees will meet during the summer as the need arises, but will not have regularly scheduled meetings in June, July, or August.

The UMMen will meet next in August.

The Ad Council will not meet in July or August.

The next Family Night will be in October.

Diaper pantry needs support

MILFORD — The Multi-Cultural Church Family and Community Center, 105 N.E. Front St. in Milford now has a diaper pantry Tuesdays from 9-11 a.m. diapers and wipes will be distributed to those in need.

Support is needed from the community to keep the pantry stocked. If you are able to contribute financially to this ministry from your social justice ministry outreaches, or if you could do a diaper drive in your church for the pantry, it would go a long way toward helping the community.

Drop off at the community center or thrift store from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
