MILFORD — An arrest was made March 14 after the Milford Police Department Patrol Division responded to an apartment at 5:22 p.m. in the 100 block of Allen Way in Brightway Commons for an offensive touching incident, according to Det. Timothy Maloney.
The investigation revealed that the victim allegedly went to an apartment in the 100 block and spoke with the resident of that apartment. According to the victim, another subject in the apartment, 47-year-old Jill Griffith Milford, allegedly attacked her causing minor injury to her as she was talking to the resident. The victim did not require medical treatment.
Griffith was taken into custody without incident and transported to Milford Police Department. Griffith was charged with one count of offensive touching. It was also learned that Griffith was wanted out of Kent County Court of Common Pleas. Griffith had an arraignment through Justice of the Peace Court 2 on both the charge and capias.
Griffith was released on her own recognizance in reference to the offensive touching charge with a future arraignment date in Kent County Court of Common Pleas for Wednesday, May, 10 at 1 p.m. She was released on $117.52 unsecured bail on the capias. She was ordered to appear in Kent County Court of Common Pleas at a later date in reference to the capias.
