A ‘marvelous’ night out set for May 1: Event benefits DBCC & CCGM

MILFORD — The Milford Chamber of Commerce (CCGM) and Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC) are proud to present the Fourth Annual Girl’s Night Out featuring the Marvelous Men of Milford on Friday, May 1 at Harrington Raceway and Casino. Taking place in the Gold Ballroom from 6:30-10 p.m., the Marvelous Men of Milford will be modeling, mascots will be challenging, food and drinks will be flowing, and raffles and games will be offered all to raise funds to support the DBCC’s local programs and services to support those faced with breast cancer, and to help support the daily operations of the CCGM.

As part of the entertainment for the evening, the Marvelous Men of Milford will model for the prize of Most Marvelous Man. There will be at least eight Marvelous Models this year. The mascots to compete in the Marvelous Mascot Contest include the SnoYo Penguin, Aaron’s Lucky Dog, News Hound from the Delaware State News and two mascots from two Milford School District. Additional attractions include a cupcake contest and raffle contest, featuring an exclusive weekend getaway to the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel in Rehoboth Beach. The emcees for the night are Petch and Amy from Eagle 97.7 and Gary John from Eagle 97.7 will be playing the tunes to keep the girls dancing. There will be a cash bar, with a Signature Cocktail, and this year’s food vendors include: Mr. BBQ, Abbott’s Grill, Milford Diner, Bonz (Harrington Raceway), Park Place, Hometown Diner, and Delmarva Popcorn.
Tickets for Girl’s Night Out are $30 per person and include a seat, a keepsake photo from C.M. Baker Photography, food, games, and entertainment. The event is open to men and women and it will sell out.

Corporate Sponsors include Delmarva Broadcasting, the Delaware State News and Milford Chronicle and i.g. Burton. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
