Eat in the Street returns to downtown Milford

MCTJ Eat in the Street 8-19-15MILFORD — Main Street in downtown Milford lights up with an evening of local cuisine, drinks and merriment when Eat in the Street returns at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20. A limit of 125 participants will enjoy a four-course meal and entertainment in a sit down dining atmosphere created right down the center of Walnut Street.

The event’s menu has been designed by chefs and restaurant owners such as Kevin Reading of Abbott’s Grill, Arena’s Deli, Lula-Bee’s Cupcakery, Fortunata’s Bakery and more. Vendors from Milford’s Riverwalk Farmers Market will supply the local produce for appetizers, entrees and desserts. Wine and beer pairings by Mispillion River Brewing and others.

Faculty from the Music School of Delaware and Matt Lafferty and friends will also entertain the crowds, with additional performances by other surprise local artists to be announced.

In case of rain, the event will be held at the Milford Senior Center, an event sponsor.

Tickets were priced at $75 per person, but sold out quickly. Eat in the Street organizers are still seeking volunteers to help with the event.
