‘The Jazz Nutcracker:’ Dinner theatre includes Smooth Sound Dance Band

The Chronicle and The Journal

MILTON — This holiday season Sussex County is in for a real treat!

Students of Delaware Dance Alliance, LLC will perform a variety of flicks, kicks, pirouettes, pliés, and relevés in this highly innovative adaptation of the beloved ballet, “The Nutcracker.”

Artistic director, Michele Xiques, choreographed this delightful, intriguing rendition of the production that incorporates the arts of ballet and jazz into Clara’s fantastical dream.

The Jazz Nutcracker is graced with all of the fanciful characters in the original classic, but the roles are changed and a few surprise guests arrive along the way.

This engaging local production includes a variety of twists and turns, and wonderful surprises as Clara, her father and friends travel through a whimsical journey filled with drama, suspense, laughter, and fun and, of course, dancing.

This is a one-of-a-kind holiday celebration not to miss.

Don’t miss out on this great dinner theatre opportunity and to enjoy a special holiday production with Milford’s Smooth Sound Dance Band live performance during dinner.

The performance is Friday, Nov. 10 starting at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 12 at 1:30 p.m. at the Milton Theatre.
