Del. 1 lane closures planned for Thompsonville work

MILFORD — The Department of Transportation’s contractor Mumford and Miller Concrete Inc., has begun construction for the Del. 1, Thompsonville grade separated intersection.

On April 15 through April 18 from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., the contractor will be clearing and grubbing the south side of Del. 1.

Motorists should anticipate intermittent lane and shoulder closures on Del. 1 southbound between Cicada Lane and Tub Mill Pond Road near Milford.

This project includes the construction of a grade-separated intersectC101QP20002Cion at Del. 1 and Thompsonville Road.

Thompsonville Road will be extendeC101QP20002Cd to the intersection of Tub Mill Road and Church Hill Road.

The project also will include the removal of the existing traffic signal at the Thompsonville intersection and the removal of median crossovers in the immediate vicinity.C101QP20002C
