Local New Year’s Eve events for all ages

Looking for something to do on New Year’s Eve? Here are a few local events to get you started.

For younger kids

  • Noon Year Storytime: 11:30 a.m. at the Greenwood Public Library. Ring in the noon year with a special storytime. Count down to noon, sing songs, read a book and make a craft. Children up to age six are invited. For more information, call 302-349-5309.

For all ages

  • New Year’s Eve Party: 9 p.m. til 12 a.m. at Jesus Love Temple in Milford. Praise, worship, dance, fellowship and inspiration! Fun & excitement for the entire family! Free admission with a freewill offering. Bring your smart phones, check-in and snap special moments from this once-in-a-lifetime event. Free refreshments afterward.

For the adults

  • Great Gatsby’s Roaring 20s Gala New Year’s Eve Party: 8 p.m. through 12:30 a.m. at the Milford Elks Lodge. This event will feature music by Downtyme, hor d’oeuvres, a cash bar, dancing and midnight champagne toast. Admission is $60 per couple or $30 per person. Tables of 8-10 people can also be reserved. Prizes for the best dressed singles and couples will be awarded. This party benefits local charities and community service. For more information, call 302-424-2401.
  • New Year’s Eve Party: 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Harrington American Legion Post #7 on South DuPont Highway. Entertainment will be provided by The Two Thirds Band. Free admission. For more information, call 302-398-3566.
