Emergency care in Milford: Through the decades

MILFORD — Emergency care is a cornerstone of Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital, as both of the hospitals it followed (Emergency Hospital of Milford and Milford Emergency Hospital) were mostly founded to provide this type of service and care to the local community.

Here are some of the highlights and milestones related to Emergency Care at Milford Memorial.

They were compiled from the book, “Origin & History: Milford Memorial Hospital, Seventy-Five Years of Caring,” and recollections of current Emergency Department staff, including Karen O’Toole, RN, BSN, CEN, nurse manager, and Julianne Wysocki, DO, medical director, Milford Memorial Emergency Department.
