An officer from the K9 division with the department performed the stop on a vehicle after observing a traffic violation. Investigation revealed that Cannon had initially provided the Milford Police K9 officer with a false name  and was in possession of a fully loaded handgun.

The Milford Police K9 officer utilized the canine to perform a “sniff” of the vehicle, which resulted in a positive alert. It was later confirmed that Cannon was in possession of over 13 grams of Marijuana, according to police.

He was charged with possession with the intent to deliver marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, criminal impersonation and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cannon was also wanted out of both Kent and Sussex County CCPs. Cannon was arraigned and committed to SCI in default of $35,000.00 secured bond.
