Local, state elections results

MILFORD – After what many consider to be a long election, results finally rolled through tonight.

Democrat Hillary Clinton takes the Delaware election by 53.35 percent while Donald Trump earned 41.92 percent of the votes Tuesday.

The Delaware Governor race goes to John Carney, Jr. who earned 248,402 votes. Colin Bonini trailed behind with 166,849 votes.

Former Delaware Labor Secretary Lisa Blunt Rochester will represent Delaware in Congress after earning 55.52 percent of the votes. Republican Hans Reigle came in with 40.96 percent.

Democrat Bethany Hall-Long came in first for the Lieutenant Governor seat with La Mar Gunn coming in after her by a 78,852-vote difference.

Democrat Charles Groce earned 2,623 votes (29.27%)

Republican William “Bobby” Outten earned 6,337 votes (70.73%)

State Representative District 33

Democrat Karen Williams earned 4,271 votes (42.49%)

Republican Charles Postles, Jr. earned 5,780 votes (57.51%)

State Representative District 35

Democratic Gary Wolfe earned 2,435 votes (27.09%)

Republican David Wilson earned 6,552 votes (72.91%)

State Representative District 36

Republican Harvey Kenton, Jr. earned 7,174 votes (100%)

Democrat Trinidad Navarro earned 244,359 votes (59.15%)

Republican Jeffrey Cragg earned 168,710 votes (40.85%)

Kent County Clerk of Peace

Democrat Brenda Wootten earned 38,951 votes (55.42%)

Republican DJ Silicato earned 31,321 votes (44.58%)

Sussex County Clerk of Peace

Democrat Charles Koskey earned 40,881 votes (41.07%)

Republican Norman Jones, Jr. earned 58,635 votes (58.93%)
