Dailey was allegedly involved in a verbal dispute with a 30-year-old female victim when he struck her in the face and placed his arms around her neck, strangling the female victim. Dailey then stopped and the two left the residence together.

According to police, the two returned to the residence a short time later when they became involved in another verbal dispute. Dailey allegedly punched the female victim in the face and slammed her head against the wall. The female victim then fled the residence.

Dailey attempted to call and send text messages numerous times to the female victim after the incident. The Milford Police responded to the same residence April 21 at about 4:42 p.m. in order to take Dailey into custody on arrest warrants for the incidents.

Upon arriving, Milford Police were able to confirm that Dailey was inside the residence but discovered that he had locked himself inside and refused to come out. The Milford Police Special Operation Group (S.O.G/Tactical Team) then responded to the residence and established contact with Dailey. After a brief standoff, Dailey exited the residence and surrendered to officers.

He was charged with strangulation, harassment, resisting arrest and offensive touching. Dailey was later arraigned and committed to SCI in default of a secured bond.
