Milford man charged following investigation into assault

MILFORD – The Milford Police Department arrested a Milford man Aug. 30following an investigation into an incident that occurred at Parson Thorne Apartments at approximately 4:01 a.m., according to Sgt. Robert Masten.

The investigation revealed 29-year-old Michael N. Baney of Milford allegedly assaulted the victim and prevented the victim from escaping the apartment. The victim was injured as a result of the incident.

Baney was taken into custody and charged with unlawful imprisonment, assault in the third degree and harassment. Baney was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2 where bail was set at $3,000 unsecured. Baney is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Family Court for an arraignment Sept. 178.
