Milford Mayor: Touch of Italy to purchase old M&T Bank building

MILFORD – Milford Mayor Bryan Shupe announced a new addition will soon arrive in the downtown area.

“We are excited to welcome Touch of Italy to downtown Milford,” he said.

The announcement said the Touch of Italy owners will be purchasing the M&T Bank on the corner of Walnut and Front St.

“Anyone that has visited their locations at the beaches in Delaware knows that whether it is their food, ambiance or community involvement, Touch of Italy has created an outstanding, unique experience,” Mayor Shupe said.

“Opening in the historic First National Bank, at the corner of our two main streets of Walnut and Front in downtown Milford, Touch of Italy’s investment will allow Milford to continue our revitalization of downtown and preservation of historic buildings while creating jobs for local families.”

Touch of Italy currently has locations in Lewes,Rehoboth Beach and Bethany Beach.
