The AP exams were held in May of 2018 after students completed the challenging, yearlong, college-level AP courses offered at MHS. Exams are scored on a scale of 1–5 with 5 being the highest possible score.
AP Scholar with Distinction Award
Five students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. These students are: Hunter Frey, Kaylee Groce, Melina Hudson, Kevin Rossetti and Gabriel White.
AP Scholar with Honor Award
Six students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. There students are: Leah, Barnett, Kaitlyn Cupelli, Keren-Happuc A. Ikechi-Konkwo, Ethan Lang, Sydney Millman and Brianna Perry.
AP Scholar Award
Twenty-two students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP Examinations, with grades of 3 or higher. These students are: Julie Adams, Gloria Bontrager Thomas, Amire Collins, Joseph Dean, Ryan Frost, Jonathan Gaglione, Shawn Gaglione, Tyler Herholdt, Danielle Kalaygian, Chris Lankford, Ryan Mackesey, Hannah Marcelle, Cameron Maule, Lauren McNaulty, Noah Palmer, Samantha Rauch, Brian Saxon, Luke Shields, Autumn Tice, Brianna Wells, Tabitha Wojciechowski and Shuhung Zheng.
This year MHS had 283 students take 437 AP exams. Coupled with MHS’s college dual enrollment courses, students had an opportunity to complete over 1600 college credits this year. Milford High School offers six dual enrollment courses and 13 AP courses. More students achieved a qualifying score of 3 or higher on exams this year than ever before!
