After attempting to steal merchandise from Redners Grocery Market in Milford, a Milton man struck a store employee in the face before fleeing on foot, according to the Milford Police Department.

Police searched for Christopher W. Farrell, 25, in the nearby wooded areas and neighborhoods. Farrell was spotted by witnesses several times banging on the doors of local residents and attempting to use their phones.

Milford police then responded to a nearby business where Farrell was attempting to use the business phone. He was taken into custody without incident.
