SLIDESHOW: Santa arrives in Milford during Small Business Saturday

MILFORD – With sirens and a police escort in tow, a man who makes an annual trip to Milford on the Saturday after Thanksgiving arrived this week with a jolly smile and a long coat as red as the antique firetruck he rides.

Santa Claus came to town.

A street full of holiday spirit, friends and excitement waited to greet him with hugs, high fives and a few nervous smiles. Santa will receive guests at his home on Walnut Street in Milford every Friday evening from 5-7:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 11-3 p.m. through Dec. 23.

Visiting children will receive a photo with Santa Claus and a handmade stocking filled with candy. They will also be entered into a weekly drawing for a downtown Milford gift certificate.

When will your family visit Santa Claus?
