Three-month drug investigation ends in arrest of Milford man

MILFORD – A three-month drug investigation has ended with the arrest of 36-year-old Cameron D. Freeman of Milford, according to Sgt. Robert Masten.

The Milford Police Department’s Special Operations Group executed a search warrant Nov. 29 obtained by the Milford Police Department’s Drug Unit at a residence in the 200 block of Marshall Street.

As a result of this search warrant, heroin and drug paraphernalia was seized. Freeman was taken into custody.

Freeman has been charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2 where bail was set at $1,000 secured.

Freeman was committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correctional Institution and is scheduled for a Preliminary Hearing at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas Dec. 7.  The Milford Police Department was assisted by the Carlisle Fire Company, Delaware Department of Natural Resources Police Environmental Crimes Unit and the Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit.
