Assault leads to arrest of Harrington man

MILFORD – Kaden Covington, 21 of Harrington, was arrested Jan. 6 by officers from the Milford Police Department for assault and related charges.

Officers responded to a service station in the 200 block of Northeast Front Street following a report of an assault Jan. 6.

After arriving on the scene, officers took Covington into custody after it was reported he struck the victim in the head during the incident with his fist and threatened to strike the victim again with a metal break pad.

The victim received minor injuries as a result of the incident.

Covington, who was taken into custody without incident, has been charged with aggravated menacing and assault in the third degree.  Covington was presented at the Justice of the Peace Court #2, where bail was set at $2000 unsecured.  He is scheduled to appear at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas Jan. 13 for a Preliminary Hearing.
