Milford man arrested for thefts in December

r-burgessA 25-year-old Milford man was arrested Monday, Feb. 15 in connection with incidents that occurred Dec. 7 and Dec. 8.

Richard H. Burgess was charged with theft under $1,500, falsifying business records and theft by false pretense under $1,500. 

An investigation revealed that Burgess had removed items from a 48-year-old male victim’s vehicle and later sold the items to a local pawn shop. Burgess was located and taken into custody by probation and parole and turned over to the custody of the Milford Police Department. 

Burgess was also wanted on an active capias out of KCCP.  Burgess was arraigned and then turned over to the custody of Capital Police at KCCP. Burgess was later released on an unsecured bond.
