The investigation stemmed from a domestic assault occurring at a residence located in the 2900 block of Heather Dr. and revealed that Duane Miller and the 41-year-old female victim had been involved in a verbal dispute.

During the dispute, Miller allegedly grabbed the female victim, placed his hands around her throat and began to strangle her. The female was initially able to break free from Miller and attempted to flee into a bedroom and close the door.

Miller chased the female victim and kicked in the bedroom door. While inside the bedroom, she was contacting the police on the phone. Miller took the phone from the female victim and threw it outside of the residence. Miller then fled prior to police arrival.

Miller later responded into the Milford Police Department where he was later charged. The female victim was transported to Milford Memorial Hospital where she was treated for minor injury to her neck and then later released. Miller was arraigned and released on $3,500.00 unsecured bond.
