Milford Police investigating a series of shootings

MILFORD – The Milford Police Criminal Division is currently investigating a series of shootings, according to Det. Dwight Young.

The first report of gunshots occurred at the Brightway Commons Apartment Complex at approx. 2:15 a.m.

Investigation revealed that an unknown male, standing outside of one of the apartment buildings, fired multiple rounds directly into one of the lower level apartments.

“There was reportedly one occupant actually inside of the residence at the time. The gunshots struck the walls inside the apartment,  the occupant was not injured,” said Det. Young.

A short time later a second report of gunshots was in the area Mispillion Apartments.

The investigation revealed that a vehicle in that area was struck multiple times with gunshots. The occupant of the vehicle was not injured. It is believed the two shootings are connected.

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to contact Det. John Horsman or Det. Dwight Young at the Milford Police Department at 302-422-8081 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333 or http://www.tipsubmit.com or submit tips thru the MyPD app.
