Milford woman charged with forgery, theft

Milford police officers arrested 22-year-old Kadijah A. Brown Tuesday, Feb. 16 after investigating a theft which occurred at United Check Cashing in January.

According to the police department, Brown was issued a check by local government. She reported that check as lost or stolen, received a replacement check and allegedly cashed both at United Check Cashing. It was later discovered that one of the checks was no longer valid.

Brown, of Milford, was charged with forgery  in the second degree and theft under false pretense with an amount under $1,500. She was arraigned and released on $2,500 unsecured bond.
