Troopers seek public’s help in locating wanted subject

 

smithMILFORD – The Delaware State Police are asking the public’s assistance in attempting to locate a Milford man involved in numerous thefts from vehicles as well as a theft of motor vehicle that occurred west of Milford sometime between 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10 and 10:00 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11.

According to Public Information Officer Master Corporal Gary E. Fournier, Nathan E. Smith, 36, with a last known address of Milford (possibly homeless), is wanted on two counts of felony theft including one count of theft of a motor vehicle, six counts of theft under $1500, four counts of criminal trespass after he was linked to various car break-ins that occurred on Milford-Harrington Highway and Canterbury Road west of Milford.  Smith is also wanted out of Sussex County Court of Common Pleas on two capiases.

The stolen motor vehicle was recovered today, Saturday September 12, 2015 in Rehoboth Beach by Rehoboth Beach Police Department and Smith may still be in that area.
