Bucs wrestling places 11th at War on the Shore tournament

BERLIN – This weekend, Milford wrestling traveled out of state to participate in the War on the Shore tournament hosted by Stephen Decatur High School (MD).

Out of 24 schools, including Henlopen foes Sussex Central and Caesar Rodney, Milford recorded 86.5 team points to place 11th overall.

Milford’s top individual performance of the tournament came from senior Robbie Rosser, who placed second in the 120-pound weight class. Rosser lost to King Sandoval, of St. Marys Ryken (MD), by fall in the first-place match.

Junior Eric Bennett narrowly lost by 3-1 decision to Alex Raimondo in the 195-pound third-place match, finishing the tournament with a fourth-place finish.

Sophomore Anthony Diaz defeated Aiden Beall of Damascus (MD) in the fifth-place match to earn the fifth-place finish in the 220-pound class.
