MILFORD — Following are the reported results from last week’s sporting events for Milford High teams.

Boys’ lacrosse

Milford 12, Polytech 9: The undefeated Buccaneers (4-0) built an 8-4 halftime lead before holding off the Panthers.

Zachary Heesh and Ring Lardner tallied four goals apiece for Milford with Mathew Viramontes collecting three goals and three assists. Goalie Clay Stevenson made nine saves.

Milford 11, Indian River 5: Mathew Viramontes scored five goals as the Buccaneers (5-0) remained unbeaten.

Ring Lardner (1 assist) added three goal while Zachary Heesh scored twice for Milford, which led 5-1 at halftime. Clay Stevenson made eight saves.


Milford 11, Delmar 1: Cole Davis threw a five-hitter and struck out in five innings to earn the win for the Buccaneers.

Tom Saxon (2 RBI) and Shawn Snowden (1 RBI) had two hits each for Milford.

The Wildcats’ Nathaniel Smith had three hits and an RBI.


Delmar 13, Milford 4: The Wildcats earned a conference victory in a matchup of Henlopen Southern Division foes.

The Wildcats scored runs in every inning except for the fifth, pounded out 12 hits and took advantage of seven Milford errors to secure the victory.

Sussex Central 6, Milford 5: Taylor Evick drove in the winning run in the top of the sixth to break a 5-5 tie as the Golden Knights earned their first victory.

Haley McCabe pitched a four-hitter with eight strikeouts to pick up the win.

Milford scored all of its runs in the bottom of the fifth to knot the score.

Milford 12, North Caroline, Md. 0: Dustin Reeder earned the win and had four RBIs, including a bases-clearing double in the third.

Bryce Greenly had two hits and scored three runs while Tom Saxon and Abraham Move each had an RBI double.

Girls’ soccer

Lake Forest 8, Milford 1: Lake Forest High netted the game’s first four goals before going on to an 8-1 victory over Milford in Henlopen Conference Southern Division girls’ soccer on Tuesday afternoon.

Alyssa Santore scored four goals, including three in the second half for the Spartans (1-0 South, 3-0 overall). Hannah Fox tallied a pair of first-half goals with Lauren Sharp and Kallie Moyer also scoring for Lake.

The Spartans finished with advantages of 22-11 in shots and 4-1 in corner kicks.

Pat Delva scored in the first half for the Buccaneers.

Indian River 7, Milford 1: Madison Hogsten netted four goals as the Indians improved to 3-0.

Sarah Buchler added two goals and a pair of assists for IR.
