Code Purple initiative says thanks

By Pastor Lisa Davis

Executive Director, Milford Community Center

WOW! Thank you for stepping up during these cold months of Old Man Winter and volunteering your time and your energy to make The Milford CODE PURPLE Sanctuary such a success.  Thank you for the financial donations, the time contributions, the meal preparations, and the prayers. Thank you for collecting toiletries and towels and blankets and clothes and books.

This year would not have been possible without the support of Kent County Levy Court and their contributions to Kent County Code Purple, the guidance of The Interfaith Mission for Housing Board, and for the early contributions from The Circle of Light here in Milford. Their early efforts several years ago made this ministry possible.

Issues of homelessness and poverty are not likely to go away, but because of our community and its generosity we can make an impact in Milford.  Lets continue striving to not make a dent, but make a difference in our community!
